i need help. I am looking to do a 6.0 with a charger. What options do i have for a tranny, like rebuild the one i have, buy another one, ect. I want it build so i do not have to worry about it no matter how much i hammer on it. Keep in mind it is a DD...

If you're gonna do a 6.0 just try and find one with the tranny attached. The 4L80E should be able to handle it, and you could always build it up before the swap.

Ive heard good from both, I'd just check and see which one best suits your needs and price.

The 80 will require a lot more work.. Modified frame support, and different wire harness. NOT a direct bolt into a tahoe

LQ9 is the ** version, My thought was if im going to do it... Do it right lol -
Better components to them. And I found it with less miles than an Lq4

I currently still am running my stock tranny - no issues at all, and am going on about 50k miles ...and I'm not easy on it.

Once it goes I'll do 4L65 - or something built a little stronger.
