Once again what's his face doesn't know what he's talking about, 95 is the last year you want, it was a 1 year only tranny. If you have a 95 then swap with a 95. If you have pre then use pre that's fine.

Oh and one other thing since I believe yours was a 4wd you should not have to worry about the speed sensor size difference as you will not be using the tail shaft like a 2wd unit does. And make sure the 1995 tranny you may get does not have a build year of 1994.

Not sure what the bone yards are looking at for year wise. What about going with something newer? Like after 2000? I'll make anything work if I can

Or there is a turbo 350 fresh rebuild. For a good price.
Just looking for options here. Dunno how much more life the truck has

If it is a long tail 350 it will bolt in and can be made to work. Just flash the ECM to a manual setup and row your own gears. :D
