Tranny swap

My 95 Chevy Tahoe has an 4l60e in it right now and am thinking about running the 4l80e. Will I have to reprogram anything if I swap to a diff tranny

Yes. Aside from the mechanical aspect of the larger, longer 4L80E, the 4L80E has an additional speed sensor that needs to be wired to the pcm under the hood. The later model truck computers can be reflashed to account for this additional speed sensor. Also several pins in the connector at the transmission need to moved around (later model trucks). Not sure about you 1995 model for the connector or the programming of the computer.
