Transmission compatability

So the transmission in the 04 denali is going to need a rebuild in the next 6 months (6.0 4l60e) I still have my 00 denali (5.7 4l60e) which had no tranny issues at all.. Will the 00 4l60e go into my 04 without any modification? I heard somewhere there may be wiring differences.. but I don't know for sure.

Stay with the 04.

What I am saying is spend $1600 to have the 04 rebuilt or spend the money to just have the 00 4l60e with 81k mi on it dropped in it?
