Transmission hard shift

Sup guys quick question.. Yesterday driving the truck i noticed the trans temp up at around 200 and the truck started shifting hard from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third and i remember when bringing the truck from cali to nj i had the same issues but everytime we stopped to rest the truck would act normal when it cooled same thing did yesterday after i let the truck sit for 3hrs while taking an exam and the ride back home shifted normal again.. What can it be? Oil seem good still maybe filter or something else?

I would try flushing the fluid and changing the filter. If that doesn't work it's probably time to start thinking about a tranny rebuild. How many miles/ what year?

+1. Sounds like worn separator plate amongst other wear/tear issues if the fluid change doesn't fix it. I had same symptoms about 8000 miles before 3/4 started slipping, and knew it was then time for rebuild. Good luck.

Is 262k am going to try that.. Is only done it twice so hopefully not but if it does who you guys recommend for rebuilt
