I have an 02 Denali I noticed where the trans and transfer case join there is a oil leak not sure where it's coming from...I recently replaced the transfer case n figured it would go away...but oil still leaks from somewhere around there

Is there any seal or somewhere between the case, trans, adapter where it may leak from...I also added trans oil the other day cause I was low and was starting to slip?

I would check you TC fluid and see where the level is. If you pull the plug and it comes pouring out you have a bad seal between the TC and trans.

had my tranny replaced a few months back...leaked right at the joint between tRANSFER CASE AND TRANNY, NEAR encoder motor. Turned out the gasket was pinched putting it in (according to tech). Hope yours is that simple.

Livingez...u mean there is a seal between the trans n t case...like inside...not the gasket that goes on the mating surface between two? Between trans n adapter or adapter n t case....when I chamged my tcase I
I didnt remove the adapter from trans

There should be a seal on the input shaft of the transfer case. they do that to keep the oil separate. When they use to use gear oil in the TC they didn't want the 2 fluids mixing. The paper gasket just keeps the small amount of ATF that finds it's way into the adapter. If you check your TC fluid and it's way over full, chances are the ATF is getting into your TC. is it possible the seal was never installed? is the leak between the TC and trans so bad that you are losing several qts of fluid?
