Transmission problem?

My trans when cold take it awhile to shift from 3rd to 4th but when its warm it shifts fine

Yep. It can in some cases help but i'm not so sure in this case. If you put ANYTHING into your trans for slipping though, this is the stuff.

Save $$ you need a trans rebuild or a rebuilt trans soon.

I read that link about converters and symtom wise its exactly what ive got going on.

So I just took the truck out and got it up to temperature, turned tow haul off and at 40mph it started chattering/shudder. Feels like your driving on an extremely rough road. But I touched the brake pedal and it immediately stopped. Removed my foot from the brake and went right back to doing in.

My luck is its probably the converter.

I know this is an old post. I am having issues with my 03 Yukon L460E. Seems it shudders between 40 and 50 mph. If I press the brake pedal it stops. I assume it is the torque converter?
