Transmission governor? Is there a way to bypass the stupid transmission governor of 95. I hate that thing while passing in are stretch of 80 that are 80mph
Yeah when it gets to a certain speed it will shift down not allowing you go above that speed which is 95 or 94 govnerd idk how to spell it.Transmission governor?
Will look into at some pointMine tops out at about 134 now....drag/hp limited.
Its not really a limiter per say. The deal is that there are no more instructions in the PCM for spark, fuel trims, etc. above a certain speed. For instance, why would you want a stock tahoe to be able to go 150mph (Not on a drag strip)? Thats just begging to die going that fast in a vehicle that is not designed to be a race car and WILL NOT handle like one. There are no instructions for a K Chassis (Pickup or SUV) in the PCM that will allow 1xx MPH. They had to stop somewhere in the programming. Its a speed limiter in the PCM. You have to change the tune.
