I have a 2002 yukon slt 2wd that it wont shift down into to passing gear sometimes,has anyone had a problem like this before?Also it has a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear when its cold.

Check the fluid level (at operating temp), and condition. Should be clean looking, and no burnt smell.
Could be as simple as a fluid/filter change, especially if you tow with it.
