I am trying to replace the 4 bulbs on the overhead climate control. When I removed the unit I was checking polarity and the only lit bulbs were the two inner ones. I assumed the outers were burnt. I replaced them all and got the same results. They appear to be wired to a different circuitin the board, but the board hides the circuit routing. Anybody else have this issue? Do the outers only turn on under certain function? I cant seem to figure it out - almost like they are in series, but original bulbs functioned the same. Any suggestions?

If you can't examine the foil tracing on the board for a crack you may have to buy a new control module. There is only one source of power for the lighting to that controller, so if one or two are lit, the others should be also.

While it wasnt my first choice, I mapped out the circuit and it did appear as if some of the wiring was in series. the two inners were together and the outers were to together. Perhaps it was a year change in the wiring. Doesnt make sense, but that is what I found. In the end I broke the circuits in a few spots and soldered in some jumper wires. It all works now, just not pretty from the inside.
