In general. Too many people post that their MPG is horrible asking why. And they floor it any chance they get. It's the same principal with people that complain that trans blow abs rear ends explode @
donYukon. I get great MPG rolling 35s. Now I am as slow as a loaded Mac truck missing granny gear off the line. But I slow roll starts because I know it eats fuel and is added stress in the drive train. Plus it gets me to the destination no quicker. So I roll easy then give more gass once going.
Now if you try and time trial 0-60 your 5k# SUV on a stock trans at every stop light sure thing it is not going to last.
The main point is the way an individual drives the vehicle is the biggest variable.
Beat on stock parts and they will fail.
My deal with torque management is you have to use it the correct way. Reduce the amount managed in a tune and you will feel more power but you can also abuse it and damage your trans and drive train.
My statement of EFI lIve for a tube vs a OBD generic map tune is that each of these trucks runs a tad different and those box tubers give a generic map taylored to be generic across the board they tend to not yield the same potential as a vehicle specific tune. Yes they box tuners are cheap but you get a cheap tune.
Bottom line if you are tuned specific to your vehicle and it's setup and the way you drive. Then you will be much happier.
