I recently got 2 Borla Pro XS's for free (guy at work took them off a truck he sold (only 500 miles on them)) and was considering putting them on my Taco. They are single in single out. I've been looking and dont really seem to find anybody with a borla true dual set up especially on youtube. This would go on my wife's vehicle and she is not opposed to having a good sounding vehicle just dont wanna piss off the neighbors when she leaves for work in the morning. Does anyone have experience with this set up? Was it really loud or just deep and throaty?

Are you planning on running an X pipe or an H pipe? I would recommend an X if you don't want it to be unbearable.

5.3L and is all stock except for K&N filter on it. I wish I could find a video with it but I guess I'll just experiment with an H pipe first.

Another silly question, I know what an H pipe and X pipe are but is that something a muffler place fabricates or is it a part you really need to order?

You can buy a Magnaflow X-pipe (I would not use an H). I agree with goodinblack regarding lossing low end if this is not done correctly. The piping will need to be sized so the exhaust velocity does not drop; at the very least keep the same OEM piping diameter (also not efficient though). Search the GM fullsize forum for ideas.

Post back when your setup is installed.
