Just thinking ,do you think fuel mileage would be better with a turbo set up and the same driving style as with out it on a stock vehicle?

More power = more fuel..If your in boost then your using more fuel no matter how "efficient" it is..

ya it all depends on if you can stay out of boost..if you are out of boost, you will drive like normal and have normal mpg...but normally you need to upgrade injectors and your tune, which you will most likely be using more fuel..as soon as you hit boost, bye bye mpg

If your engine was designed to take full advantage of a turbo than yes, you would get better mileage if you're good on the throttle.

Any big power adder like that will always, at best, keep the same mileage, if you're not footing it around everywhere. You'd likely lose MPG given our engines weren't built with turbos in mind.

Your compairing a 3500# car with 250hp to a 5500+# suv with 300+hp..Alot of things come into play when it comes to mpg's..

With a motor that is built for a turbo yes you will get better milage when it comes down to different methods on how you are getting the extra hp.

Adding a turbo to a 5.3 dunno if better milage when running the extra hp boost is better than say punching 30 over milled heads super tuned ect. Methods to boost hp that don't go away when not on the throttle would tend to hurt milage where as a turbo only kicks in when you need it.
