Turn off door chimes?

I get annoyed by the door chimes when I open the door with my yukon running. Its an 04 does anyone know how to disable them?

If you go with an aftermarket radio, they disable them. There is also the green wire from the body control module underneath the dash on the right, you can cut it but that only partially disables the chime.

If you want it completely gone, your best bet is a new radio, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, they didn't make it easy to disable in these, especially since it runs through the speakers rather then just some annoying little chime. My answer is that it's easier to go Duke's of Hazard, weld the door shut, and climb in through the window.

That only works up to the '02 models. After that they started running it through the speakers. Eventually in that thread they get to pointing that out.

Should be able to disable the door switch; making the truck think the door is closed.
