My last vehicle was a Grand Cherokee with AWD. Not sure if I got so used to the AWD or if my tires are crap on the Yukon, but I fishtail sometimes when turning in the rain and I'm not exactly driving like a maniac. My Yuk came with General Grabber tires with a lot of life left on them. I run them at 35psi. Maybe it's my shocks or swaybar? Maybe it's me?

When I bought my LTZ wheels they came with whatever tire came stock on the tahoe. I can`t remember what they were but i could never get traction in the rain especially when turning. I could get sideways easily driving normally.

When i changed to cooper disoverer H/T plus tires it`s much harder to kick the back end out under normal driving.

I`ve never had general tires so i can`t say if your tires are crap or not but it seems like it to me.

If you're positive its not because of your driving and usually happens when you turn, it could very well be the suspension.

My Autoride compressor seems loud from outside the vehicle (I use autostart). I wonder if there is a problem. I'm not throwing any codes.

Next time its raining out, turn the traction control off and smoke them a little bit. See if that helps the grip at all. If not, get some better tires.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I turn off traction control? Are we all equipped with it?

I'm starting to think its a suspension issue because sometimes when turning my Yuk feels "wobbly" and sometimes It feels tight. Maybe the autoride system needs replacing?

Ah, 2001 might not have it. If it does its the button underneath the right air vent. How many miles? Might need new shocks.

138k miles. My rear compressor Is noticeably audible, but not sure if that's normal (I only own the vehicle for 1,000 miles).
