got a new pair of tweets and have the perfect place for them. in the two front pillars of the truck, just above the stock tweeter. problem is, i don't know if it'll fit. i took the plastic trim off and its just bare metal, can i cut through it and place the tweeter there, or is that dangerous? or what other locations can i put them in?

get some dounle sided tape, and hook them up with some long speaker wire, play with different places, see which you like the best.

I had the same problem when I got new speakers, the tweeter wouldnt fit in the stock location. So I put them above the rearview mirror. The sound is great and it has a clean look .

i wouldve gone with that area but i have the rear air controls there and no place to relocate it. i did find however a spot on the c and d pillars, im going to remove that thing you grab onto just above the seatbelt, theres a perfect sized hole there

+2 on trying the placement with tape, hey, you could probably put them on the dash top and fire them up into the windshield and have it reflect back off the glass. probably help to take a little of the harshness off, plus help your front stage by getting them as far away as you can to make it seem deeper. just a thought. maybe even on the back of the rear view mirror. give it a shot and see if it'll work for ya. that glass will bounce a lot back to ya.
