ok. i tried searching, but where plenty of results came up, none really answered my questions.

basically, i was wondering what is the best way to run the wiring for those of you that installed back up cameras. i only saw one person advise that they ran the wiring on the left side of the interior of their truck. is one side better than the other (referring to video quality)? as in would one side cause a greater interference than the other? would it be any better running it under the truck (i had to do that with my old F150 along the frame rail).

as for the door speakers, i could not find an answer on how to remove the door panels. are they just pop clips? my old F150 had screws that held it into place, but then the panel had these plastic hooks, so you just had to lift the panel off as opposed to popping it off.

thanks for any pointers that anyone can provide.

Any way works left or right just depends on where is easier for you to get the wires through. As for the panels there should be a couple screws then pop clips and pull up. All gm vehicles have em now. Hell my 94 has clips and screw but the clips broke on some but autkzone sells replacement clips

I ran my video cable up the passenger side. It was simpler to work behind the glove box than running the cables under the steering column. I simply popped the covers along the rocker panels and rear hatch for the wires and slipped them under the edge of the rear A/C panel cover and carpet.

For the door panels, search YouTube.

For the rear camera, passenger side is probably easier (even though I did on the driver side). I would route away from power wires. Go up through the bottom of the taillight. Then into the truck behind the rear vent cap. Remove rear quarter panel and run wires under sill panels. The side panel of the dash board pops out and you can drop the glove box by pushing on the tab that keeps it from opening all the way. This should give all he access you need. The driver side has the fuse panel. Removing the gauge cluster makes it easier. I used a 25 ft RCA wire for my suburban I got on amazon. Good luck.

Power Cable + Remote Cable For your amp should go on the left (driver) side of your vehicle. All Audio/Video cables should go on the right (passenger) side. Personally. But if you run power+audio/video you can get interference. So separate them, both sides are just as easy.
