Unlocking 2017 with Key and No Fob

Just bought a '17 LT and it came with 2 keys but not Fobs. When I open the door with a key, the horns beeps until the key is turned in the ignition. Does anyone know how to override this? I can't find anything in the book or DIC about it. Won't take long to irritate the neighbors. The passenger side does not have a key slot. Some Fobs are on order. Thanks. dm

As far as I know, there is no way to disable this as the alarm system is armed until the keyfob unlocks the car or key is in the ignition

ya when you manually lock the vehicle it sets the factory alarm, I don't know if this will work but try unlocking with the key and then give it a couple more twist's or twist and hold for a second or two and see if that triggers the remaining door locks then it will turn the alarm off also, I used to have a vehicle that would function that way, its worth a try anyway.
