unlocking seat belts.??????

well to make a long ass story short. i slammed my door and my curtin air bags poped out. i already cut them out but i have one issue. the front seat belts are locked. i cant pull them out. what can i do? thanks.

BTW there has to be a way to get the seat belts out, don't think there is anything electronic in them or I would say pull the battery for a couple of minutes.

I can't imagine how hard you would have to slam the door to get those to pop. That almost sounds like a defect.

The seatbelt pretensioner's fired if the airbags deployed. You might be able to unlock the the mechanism by taking the pretensioner off. Good luck keep us posted.

^^^Exactly what LTZboy said..the pretensioners have locked the belts...you need to take the mechanism apart and attempt to deactivate them.

**Note to self...when pissed do not under any circumstance slam the door on the tahoe**

hhahaha. all i can now is freaking laugh. yhea, i slammed that door ******* hard. i had a buisness meeting early in the mornibg and the ******* battery was dead, i got pissed. and took it out on the door
i guess ill take it apart today.
i forget to upadtae you guys. i have the backed all finshed up with the bags. compressor valves and tank. ill post pics later today.
