This is the driver's side valve rocker cover with the revised PCV port location intended to reduce oil consumption through the PCV system. I bought it a few months ago assuming my '08 had the older style PCV baffle and found out today it had already been updated. This one is from a 2012 Suburban, so it has the newer style PCV hose nipple. I think they changed it in 2010, but it should work on anything from '00+ if you have a catch can (and you should!) cuz the hose should fit and clamp down just the same. The nipple has some small teeth marks in it where I tried to see if the nipples of each cover could be swapped around. This has no effect on the function on they won't be seen once a hose is installed. Has been cleaned and is ready to install. The gasket is probably still good as well. Asking $30 + shipping or trade for something cool.

Not that I know of. I thought the updated one had the different nipple and corresponding updated hose, which is why I assumed I had the original/older style and why I was surprised when I removed mine. I didn't really care about the nipple style since I have a catch can. At least it's only about a 20-minute job to remove it to check. Definitely do it after it's sat up overnight so there's no oil to drip.

Good question, and one I was going to ask. My '04 has the same style nipple as @iamdub's original but (so) I can't tell if the cover's ever been changed without pulling it. Doubtfull it's been changed with 100K on the clock. Would the different nipple style matter if one doesn't run a catch can (yet)?

Only if you couldn't get whatever hose you have tightly around the nipple. It's not rocket surgery and having exact OEM hose ends in this particular system isn't critical in the least. If your OEM hose is the hard formed plastic (I think they all are), slip a 2"-3" piece of fuel/vapor-rated hose over it and on the nipple, secure it with a hose clamp and don't give it a second thought. I don't see why the older style hose that's set up exactly like this can't be secured to the newer style nipple with a simple hose clamp.

BTW, this one's spoken for. I'll edit the original post.

Ken was quick to it!

Besides, if oil consumption through the PCV hasn't killed yours in 300K+ miles, it's probably immune to it.

Received it today.... Dub was quick to ship it!

Keep your eyes peeled because if I pull mine to discover, as Dub did, that mine already has the newer design then it will be back up for sale... lol
