Updated RCX 3" Better?

I know there was a post a while back about their 3" and it was horrible, but i hear its updated. I want to get a nice small lift, so i don't have to spend 2k in tires every time they go bald. So, is their 3" better or do i need to look into something different?

go for a 1" crank/block and a 2" body lift

or just pony up for the 4" lift


regardless of what people say about the upgraded 3", I still think it's a horrible design.

Going to echo what Dylan said. Also, when it comes to buying tires, it won't be anywhere near 2k. I've been looking at a large variety of 35" A/Ts, and even at that size you wouldn't spend more than 1300. (Unless you just felt the need to of course. Sky is the limit on everything these days)
