Adding 6.5s to Tahoe that has Bose . Are brackets needed? Doing 2 component sets, ideas on where to put the crossover? Rear door speaker tweeter locations?

when I did mine I just mounted the crossover inside the door near the speaker hole, just make sure the window or regulator wont hit on it, if your crossover is small enough you can mount it inside the door panel but I had went with alpine and they were just a smidge too big to fit in the door panel and no you don't need brackets 6.5" will fit right in on the front doors, you may have to make a small cut on the back doors to get 6.5"s in. for the tweeters you will have to kind of have to make up a bracket to get them in right I think I used part of the oem tweeter brackets and made one up with some hot glue.
