I have a 2011 tahoe texas edition...

Im getting black bear to tune it in October when they come to Houston!

I want to get a few things done by then:

1)intake: im going for an airaid this one specifically https://www.airaid.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=200-270

but i see a lot of people here are going with J.R.'s? is there a reason? are the full kits not worth it?

2) exhaust: I have no idea what to do here, I think what I want to do is some sort of muffler swapped out, magnaflow/flowmaster? and an slp tip/resonator delete.

3)lowering, im looking to buy the 2015 replica gmc wheels in 22x9 from robbie on here(cant see his post anymore..hmm?), and i keep reading that just dropping the back 2 inches is horrible and my truck will sag, should i be looking at 24's? or a bigger drop?

sorry for all of that info, but im very new to this, still have the scar from selling my ford powerstroke :emotions122:

Thank you!

Look at some of the threads in the performance section.

For intake all you really need is the m.i.t tube and high flow filter

as for exhaust its really up to you. the only restriction in the sys, are the cats, muffler, and res. almost everyone on here just removes the res and swap the muffler. its cheaper this way and just as good.

What part of Houston? You can check out mine - I have an Airaid and Magnaflow cat back. Also - I have a set of CK375's for sale in the for sale section if you're interested in those.

Pockets: I have heard a Corsa and it is amazing...however i think i might go the cheaper route first and if thats not enough, I could always shell out the dough for the corsa!

Thanks!

aflumb: yeah after i posted this i saw that the full intake is overkill, thanks!

thats what ill probably end up doing, but not too sure on what muffler yet....but forsure getting that slp resonator delete!

I've always liked the sound of magnaflow myself, mufflers only aren't too expensive either. Definitely do intake and exhaust before the tune.
