ladies and gents,

today the UPS man doomed my Sunday.

I got the final pieces to the beginning of my system in today, so I'll be taking apart the Yukon to get it all in.

The front stage will most likely be a pair of 6 1/2" MB Quarts running off another Massive amp depending on how this one works out. I'm not going to do much more to this truck till I get the Nissan back on the road since show season is getting started.

so far I have a Brightstarcaraudio.com underseat enclosure:

a massive NX2 nano block amp amp and 2 shallow mount DVC 10's:

well...UPS came...and so did the rain and the cold...so i didn't get things installed when i wanted to....until yesterday.

first I'm farrrrrr from a professional installer so please forgive me if my pics and technique aren't the greatest.

background on the system. the headunit is a pioneer DEH-7950UB (don't judge me...it came with the truck)

the front and rear is held down by some 6 1/2 inch pioneer coaxials run by the blose amp. to be replaced in the very near future by another massive audio amp and mb quart component set.

what installed yesterday was a massive audio NX2 amp and 2 shallow mouth MB Quart DVC 10" subs, all in a brightstar car audio underseat enclosure.

on to the pics:

we all know what a stock interior looks like...here's where the amp is going...lots of real estate under the console once the "sub" was tossed (previous owner was messy hence the stains on the carpet)

kid holding tools:

amp grounded on the dash support...great place if you mount under the console:

amp wired up before testing:

hole occupied by the blose "sub"...perfect spot for nano amps...

enclosure loaded with the subs:

enclosure installed:

the rest is pretty straightforward. initial impressions...the amp has plenty of headroom...those 10's are a walk in the park. i'm leaving things kind of low volume for the time being till the subs break in.

the only hiccup was me having to pull the whole front row twice...i had to do it again because i forgot to secure the amp lol...it was a$$ cold the second time so i'll be sure to check my work before i button up next time.

 Sounds like my boys (oldest being 6). They are always curious as to what I'm doing and the oldest is just now getting to where his attention span will allow him to start learning some stuff LOL
