US return policy

Yo!
What is the return policy for product purchase made by law in the US? If the product is not working, broken and so on. Can I get a new product or money back?
Is this different from state to state?
Here in Norway there is a two week cooling-off period and a minimum of one year warranty for products bought in Norway.
I do buy a lot of stuff on Ebay. Not having any problems yet. But nice to know.

There is no actual law. It actually varies greatly depending on who sold it to you. Some sellers have no problems taking returns up to 90 days after you bought it. But some people accept no returns at all.

ebay will help return if the item is faulty even if no return polocy. kind of like the lemon law for used cars

Depends on which state you live/reside in. Case in point, in the state of Utah the Department of Consumer Protection states you have 30 days provided you haven't altered or damaged the item.
