Hi, just got a new to me 2010 Yukon SLT w/Bose, no NAV or rear video stuff.

Boring stereo etc...will be looking to move to touchscreen Pioneer unit. On the USB port in the console, if i get the right harness, will it be connected/integrated w/new headunit?

TIA

Yes. the back of the connector (in the glovebox) is a mini-usb connection.

So if we look in the glove box, we will find the end that connects to the usb in center console? Just plug that end (pic above) to the new HU?

Depends on what kind of connection the aftermarket radio has. One - Get a USB to USB mini cable and run it from the aftermarket radio to the back of the plug in the console or dash. Two - use whatever cable the aftermarket radio came with and get a USB adapter from Amazon or something to make it USB mini.

The aftermarket units I dealt with have direct usb (in preparation for cars that never came with usb) but that was before USB was fully implemented in stock cars.

I just got a 4200NEX from Crutchfield and they gave me a mini-usb to usb converter cable. The mini usb cable that plugged into the factory radio (pain to unplug!) plugs into the converter cable, which i then plugged into the back of the radio.

Now i have a tiny 128gb SanDisk Ultrafit USB drive plugged into the console's usb port. So snug there's no chance of me snapping it when digging round the thing.
