I have a 2003 Yukon with Bose (UQ7 w/o Y91). My bose amp died and I'd like to replace the head unit as well. I was reading here that there is a factory harness behind the climate control I could use instead of running all new wires. However, when using the harness, there's no sound from the tweeters. There are two pairs of wires running to the tweeters that have continuity to the corresponding pins on the amp, but no continuity to the woofer in the door with the same colored wires.
Where does the other pair of wires from the tweeter go?
Does anyone have any information on this "factory amp bypass harness", wiring, why it's there, etc?
Also, if I do end up running new wires is there a guide to removing the panels, dash, etc, for fishing wires? I'm kind of leery about just poking around with the airbag there.
Thanks
