OK, so I know this has been covered a ton of times. I couldn't find anything about the sticker option.

I color matched my front bow tie on my tahoe. Upon a lengthy detail I had to use IRON-X to rid the white of rail dust, where a clay bar wouldn't take it off. Apparantly it changed the color of the bow tie, and is no longer a pure white.

Fast forward to now where I am about the replace the rear appliqué due to broken studs by previous owner. I want that bowtie white obviously.

Has anyone used the vinyl's sold on ebay? A good cleaning I don't see why they wouldn't last, but don't want to waste my time and money if they are junk.

Opinions?

SW CT,
Why not look into a GMC Yukon applique? No bowtie to deal with, problem solved.

If you choose to color match, I'd recommend painting it. Took me a Saturday afternoon to do mine front & back and they turned out great. It's been about six months now and they still look as good as day one.

Can you tell me how to remove the rear bow tie on a 2009 Tahoe?

Just pops off. However I (nor anyone here) would recomend it because you have 2 smalls holes underneath it that the bowtie goes in to. It's not smooth like the Yukon one. If you want it smooth, you'll have to have a body shop fill the holes and repaint it, or what most people do is purchase a Yukon applique
