Smart Start...works with most Viper auto starts and alarms. It's like an extra $300 plus a monthly fee or something, though. I don't start my car from around the world, so I figure the 1/2 mile the remote gives me is sufficient enough not to spend the dough on it....lol.

All I want is the remote. I dont want to call to have my car start. No point in that:imo: How much did just the viper system cost and what model

I got the 5701 auto start/alarm system. Now I think it's the 9701?? Just a newer model, I think. You can still find the 5701's online, I think, for around $100. Works great, had a friend do the install, so I got it for cheap. I think there's a whole thread on just that model...a bunch of us found a deal and got them at about the same time.

Just found it. Someone just got one about two weeks ago for less than $90. Check the link out and go to the last post. http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20070&highlight=viper+5701

Here's the website. $84.00 is the current price: http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/5202VB?meta=RSS&cpc=DOTD&cpg=8049&cpn=0&_rssd=1:5202VB:90.16:1289395095:DOTD:5OFF&_rsig=006f1cfb9f51870ce29350967be2a553744f85f8

I just made this all very easy for you....lol. OCD strikes again.

well i was able to get the 5902 and the smart start for 590 and then paid the 350 to get it installed because i wasnt able to install it due to the fact of the activation proccess needed to be done by a dealer also i got that for if i lock my keys in the vehicle and it also gives you a cheaper insurance rate due to the fact you get a gps on your car and the smart park setup and its only 49 for a years service also another thoing is if i go on a trip for awhile i dont have to worry about the battery going dead can start it up let it run then shut it off alot of bonus for that price
