wandering issue awful!!!!

My 04 has a 5" skyjacker lift. I believe its 5" anyways lol cant remember. Sitting on 305/70/17 goodyear wrangler mtr that are practically new. Tight front end shook it down multiple times. This thing will not stay in one lane, its extremely difficult to keep straight. Constantly feels like there is wind pushing me all around. Also when i accelerate it pulls hard then starts to wander. Almost acts like a bad motor or trans mount but they are good. Im lost i have no clue where to go with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Try eibach sway bars and how to the links look? Pics of the suspension angles? Check idler pitman arm?

If steering and shocks are in good order then maybe Wheel bearings?

Whats the alignment look like?

How did you do the shakedown? Lifted up in the air or at ride height? If it's up in the air, that changes the angles and can take up slack in the ball joints. Easiest way is to crawl unerneath and have a friend dry steer with the car off while you feel everything

What are your alignment angles? Camber/caster/toe

I had the same issue, a 15mph wind was pushing me all over the place, and engaging 4wd and letting go of the wheel would make everything shake violently. So bad, in fact, that the Assistant Manager at Goodyear that rode with me grabbed ahold of the Oh Shit handles and wouldn't let go until we got back to the shop.

The caster angles on my Yukon XL were out of spec, about 1 degree on the left, and over 2.5 degrees on the right. They needed new camber/caster kits to allow the upper control arms to be repositioned. I ordered new kits, new control arms and ball joints, and a steering stabilizer, just as added safety. Everything should be here by Tuesday, it gets back on the rack next Saturday.

Mine has the same issue, 2004 Tahoe Z71 143,300 miles, stock height. I've replaced everything on the front end except for the idler arm bracket and the wheel bearings. I've checked the bearings for play up/down movement and nothing. Replaced steering box and I've adjusted it multiple times, after getting tires rotated, truck seems pretty tight for about 800 miles then slowly loosens up and tightening the gear box after about 100 miles makes it feel as if the wind is still blowing it around but it not.

And I just ordered new extended Jounce Stops , can't hurt to replace the factory ones with just shy of 200K miles on them.

Has anyone dealt with detroit axle steering parts. I been reading alot of reviews on them and everyone says their product is pretty good. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has used their pitman or idler arms. The reason why i ask is because i did another shake down and idler arm from passenger side wheel shakes like something awful.
