I have been doing a ton of research on adding a sub and I think I have found the best setup and was looking for some input form the experts. I am going to keep the factory speakers and headunit and just add the sub, box and amp. I think I found the perfect sub box. I have captins chairs in the back so this box would fit in between them and it still saves space in the back because that is my main concern and I would like it to look consealed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-G...831030?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item3361c806f6

I talked to the guy and he said he would build it to fit any sub I would like. So I am thinking about running a JL 12W3. Would this One sub sound good in an enclosed box or should i look at different subs for this setup? I want to stay with a 12 but i am open for suggestions.

Finally what would be the best amp to run either the JL 12 or any other sub? Thanks for the help it is much appricated.

I say you use the JL 12"W3 in a custom box that is sealed and run it like that. JL and MTX make boxes that go under the front center console but they are harder to install and may give a rattle issue if they are turned up to loud. Then the ones that fit under the center console also only allow for 10" sub boxes, so since you have 2nd row captains I would just do it how you mentioned above.
Then just get a JL mono amp that pushes the sub at its RMS power rating and you are good to go.

get a LOC, and it's a pretty simple, straight forward install. I just mounted my 5 channel up, under the rear seat. On the seat, not on a mounting board, and it's all hidden...

sub box looks cool!

that does look cool. As long as the carpet matches i think that'll be a good box. How are you going about hooking it up to factory stereo?

Isn't there an accessory for a rear center console? I might check and see what's involved with that, that may be a good place to mount a sub.
