Water in door

So this morning it finally stop raining. It's been raining for a week straight. I get my son out of the rear passenger door and hesr this when I open and close the door.

How do I get it out?

Pull the rubber flap up to expose the holes. You might need something to unclog the hole. A little zip tie or paperclip or something.

No door is water proof, but foir whatever reason, it does not drain properly

Normal, I've had to drain mine twice since I have had it. Just pull the plug, drain and pop back in. I wouldn't worry about it.

there should be a wider rubber plug a few inches from each end under that black weather stripping,, pull em and toss em, basically the only way we get the broken glass out of them when they break here at the shop, pull them plugs and a air blower and vacuum, plugs should be about 1 1/2" long pull em and don't worry about water again

I just had this happen to me literally 15 mins ago. It's been raining on and off the last 2 days and I was on my way home from work and I heard a sloshing noise coming from the rear passenger door.

When I got home I lifted the rubber flap across the bottom of the door and water started trickling out. I found the plastic plug, there is only 1 on the rear doors of a short body style located in the middle (there are 2 on the front doors). I went around and removed all the plugs on all the doors.

There was no water in any of the other doors, just the rear passenger. Curious on where it came from.

Also, why are the drains plugged, and are there any ill effects caused by keeping the plugs out?

They're there so your doors rust out and you have to buy a new GM truck. Give them the old ceremonial "how far can I throw this" treatment.
