I just bought a 2007 Yukon less than 2 weeks ago with 35000 miles on it. The other night it poured in buckets all night. The next day I was standing next to it talking to a friend who happened to look down and see water dripping rather quickly out of the drivers side rear door. We opened the door to inspect and it was dripping out of the front corner of the door. We then looked around everything looking for a way the water could have gotten in and everything looked like it was sealed up good except for the black trim peice that goes from the window and curls up the side of the glass. The top edge is sticking out a little and I noticed what appeared to be 2 sided tape toward the top that was no longer sticky. Can water get in the door that way? I dont want the door to rust from the inside out over time!

I have heard this issue before, sometimes it has something to do with a drain being clogged somewhere on the door, someone chime in and help me out?

This happened to me a few times on both rear doors. If you pull the black plug at the bottom if the door the water will flow much quicker. Took it to the dealership and the service writer took a screwdriver to the drain plug and it was clogged.

Draining Tahoe doors

I noticed my drivers door dripping after a rain, next time it rained, I saw the rt. rear passenger side had a steady drip...I pulled the bottom plastic plug and about a gallon of water came out in a steady stream. Dealer told me about the drain holes and how they get clogged, he vowed me where they are, told me it's because of the moveable windows (anybody out there know of door windows that DON"T move - on a Tahoe?) so it sounded hokey, but then I read this thread and it makes sense. I never had the problem on my Jimmy, or Blazer and I put 290,000 miles on the Jimmy, 265,00 miles on the blazer. I'm gonna check the drains with a hose since we in the middle of a drought.
