Time to do the waterpump...now throwing away all the electric powered options are there any superior waterpumps for 5.7 vortecs that we should all consider? Or are they all the same with the differences being mostly cosmetic in the belt driven arena?

There are some issues with the coolant bypass when using electric pumps. I run one in my Vortec head swapped 95, you just got to know what you are doing. 5.3s are a different beast, I'm sure someone makes one for a Camaro or a Vette that will bolt in with mods ...
get high flow with ceramic bearings..
