I am concerned about the wiring for a backup camera. All of my splices reside on the interior of the vehicle, so I'm not concerned with that. I'm concerned with the camera plugs. There are 2 plugs that hang behind the bumper on the exterior of the vehicle:
1) Rca plug
2) Power plug
Can either of these cause a short if wet? I wrapped them tightly with electrical tape, but sometimes the tape comes off in extreme heat/cold. Since I spliced into the reverse lights, I don't want to short them out via the power plug or short the camera or monitor out (RCA plug).
As always,
Thanks
