Weird "farting" sorta vibrating noise that comes from behind the dash?

My truck makes a weird, low pitched vibration type noise inconsistantly at random times. it also seems to have a weird "glue" type smell at times during start up while the ac is on. not sure if they are connected or not, but they are 2 things that happen a few times a week now and it bothers me.

any ideas?

My old '94 Dodge Ram used to make a similar noise when the AC was on. I think the compressor (or condensor?) was broken. I never got it worked on though because, well, it was a '94 Dodge Ram and was my highschool/college truck. The money was better spent going into the postgrad Tahoe fund.

can you get a video of it? I had a noise once behind the dash but mine sounded more like a Cd player skipping or Disk drive booting up

it happens with the AC on or off, and its for sure not the cd player. i will see if i can get a video of it but you most likely will not be able to hear it.

Try adjusting the Vents from FLOOR to VENT or DEFROST. Any change?

i couldnt hear anything in that video besides clicking. its a hard noise to capture on video it seems

I get something very similar to that but it doesn't last as long. It seems like something vibrating in the dash or under the hood. I haven't been able to find the source yet.

I actually get something similar to the on my NBS. If i turn off my climate control completely it goes away, slowly. So i'm assuming it's one of the flaps or doors that is getting stuck. Does yours go away when you turn your ac or heater off?
