have a weird question...never having an american AWD truck b4, I am unsure how to ask this???

on ANY FWD car, upon hard launch at takeoff the car tends to pull to one side (torque steer).

a normal RWD car/truck doesn't suffer this...

but my 05 Denali, upon hard take-off I find it pulls to the right a bit...is that indication of the AWD kicking in (front tires trying to grab traction) or is that an alignment issue?

It is normal. Alignment issue would be if it were pulling without any throttle input.
