Well found out that the 2021 will only idle for 30 minutes and then shuts off

Surely there must be a way to disable that feature. I have dogs and that would be a dealbreaker.

I bet the PPV / SSV don’t do that. Unless they want the police to buy Fords.

Someone's gong to find out the hard way unfortunately. I would have never figured that and would have left my pups in the A/C from a key start event while going into a restaurant during a road trip.

On a similar topic, not to hijack thread but is there a way to by pass the power shut off when engine is off and ignition in accessory mode? Asking cause I went to a drive in with the kids and every 5 or 10 mins had to cycle the ignition. Didn’t want to turn engine on as we were in the rear and didn’t want to be sucking the exhaust fumes.
On my previous ride, a jeep GC the power shut off was 30mins.

Does it say anything about it in the owners manual, or do the new vehicles not come with those anymore for GM to try to save money?

I’ve searched the paperback OM and didn’t find anything. Also searched in the digital OM via myChevrolet app and no dice.

When the truck is off, keep foot off break and press button. THEN, press and hold the button for a few seconds. This will turn on your gauges and everything. Only thing is, if you need ac you’ll have to turn the ac knob. It will only give you the cold air it hasn’t cycled through yet though and will eventually warm up (in Florida anyway, ).
I learned this myself because when I’m pumping gas I like to watch the gas gauge when I’m not topping off. So I figured I’d press and hold and see what happens. Glad I did.
