Stuff like …
* Display of engine diagnostics
* DVD / CD or no DVD / CD Player.
* BT and / or (music streaming (A2DP) BT
* Wired and / or wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
* Aftermarket units no longer have built in GPS Navi. It’s handled by the cell phone joined to it.
* Verify your units features to the additional Maestro or similar wiring interfaces needed for compatibility with steering wheel controls, a rear viewing screen, and other weird stuff like the module that makes the blinker click sound.
It basically comes down to researching every option now available and finding the unit with those features.
