Yeap, Quality Control.. But its GM, so its still always questionable.. at best! )

Where are their weld spots it’s all smooth metal lol if it truely is qc marks this truck went through a seriously QC check! These markings are through out the vehicle even under the dash

If they are just on rear axle the manufacture of axle probably sent some in plant, like was said before that had welds missing or incomplete, so they have a start point of when they were ok then they go back thru previous built axles to make sure they are welded as per GM specs. Some time they are in vehicles already. Being two marks, one was probably GM inspector other someone from Manufacture.
