Seems like every time I turn around this old girl has a new issue. Resealed the hydroboost 3 times. Hoping this last time sticks. Replaced power steering pump since the oem one was squealing like a stuck pig due to being ran low on fluid too many times. Replaced leaky water pump that was only 2 years old (Gates brand unit). Now something else is leaking. Damnit.

Battery died for the second time in about 3 weeks. Took battery to Walmart for a free replacement. Done.

Anyone have a battery tester that actually works? I had this little TopDon Chineseum one (Kilmer recommended) and I might as well use my daughters magic 8 ball. It said my battery was good a week ago. It even said to replace my brand new battery, which I charged to 100% when I brought it home. Sending that worthless junk back!

I would like one that works, so MAYBE I can preemptively replace my batteries in the future. If a good digital one doesnt exist, I guess I’ll get a carbon pile one. It’d be nice to have a reliable tester that doesn’t require charging the battery first. $200 or more isn’t worth it for me though…

Power steering pump is the hydro boost pump so where was the leak?

I sealed my hydroboost twice and gave up. I ended up buying a new oem hydroboost.

The rebuild units are a hit and miss.
