Haven't gotten outside yet to do it. But will be checking for hail damage from a storm last night. Hoping i got it in the garage before too much of the big stuff came down.

Edit. No hail dents so that is nice. Pulled the Stampede bug/rock deflector off of it. Not sure if looks right now....View attachment 398611
Glad you didn’t get any hail damage!

IMHO, always looks right without. I don’t care for any of the deflectors.

Need some advice
i have an 05 Escalade with 106k miles on it

would like to add some more power to it
texas sped and performance are about an hour away

any advice on what to add?
i was thinking Intake, cam, headers
but don’t want to spend a ton of money and don’t want super load exhaust
A tune will give you the most bang for the buck. But if you’re going to do other mods, the tune needs to be done afterwards.

I just replaced the ones on my glass. Same thing- I started to really notice that I had to lift the glass to get it all the way up. Now it does it automatically. I’m one of the few who actually use the rear glass. That way, the dog can stay safely inside while I load smallish things in the back.

Yeah, I considered replacing the glass struts as well, as I do have to lift mine up, but it stays up, once manipulated. Looking at the plastics around those hinges though, and knowing their common failure, I’ve decided it’s just fine for me. I rarely use the glass.

The hinges and lift support brackets are glued directly to the glass. That plastic has nothing to do with it. Mine is the frameless design with no plastic around the edges so you can see how they’re glued on.

Ah. Good to know. I was under the impression the hinges were attached to the glued-on plastic!
