On the 'Hoe-do list' today was THE brake upgrade from 12' to 13' rotors and bigger calipers. It's not THAT upgrade with 4 piston calipers but this one fit the budget nicely. I'm surprised how much lighter the vehicle feels now when coming to a stop.

Calipers came from an '08 Sierra ($40/pr) and cleaned up nicely. New caliper seals, pads and rotors arrived from Amazon. Brake grease and copper washers were the sticker shock items. **cough cough**. Obviously I've not done a brake job in a minute.

For the sharp eyes among us, yes, I cut those zip ties and mounted the ABS sensor line in its proper place.

That was my exact-same comment I said, " My Yukon felt lighter".... When I put the Power Stop set on my fronts, and new pads on the rear.

Fought with the rear hatch handle this weekend. Looks like I'm going to have to replace it. Every so often, it will NOT unlock, and I can't get the hatch to open. The window pop button will not work either. I managed to get the interior panel off to access the laych assembly, and it seems like it has far too much side yo side okay in it, as if it's broken or something. I lubed it with some silicone spray, which marginally helped. At least I can get the hatch to unlock now most of the time. If it doesn't unlock, I can just re-lock a d unlock the locks again a few times and it will unlock. As far as the windows release button, it's got WAY too much slop in the "cam" mechanism or whatever you call it. It is like it slides out of place and then the window button won't work. I'm leaving the interior panel off for now, because at least with it off, I can manipulate the cam mechanism to get it to open.
Has anyone else had similar issues with the rear hatch/rear window unlock assembly?

Yup mine just stops working, I have replaced it twice so far in the last 8 years or so.

My original rear lock actuator worked for over 16 years before it failed. I replaced with another OEM actuator that failed after about one year. The third unit which is also OEM has been used for about two years now without any issues. I would recommend replacing your lock actuator with a genuine OEM part.

This is THE one I did as well.
Budget friendly, and fit my OEM 17” wheels.

I would love to upgrade again to the 4 piston caliper, but like the 17” rim setup too much.
