Personally, I'd keep saving and get the catted y-pipe AND a tune. I know, opinions and all. Had an open exhaust LS1 when I was 19 and it stunk so bad - that smell doesn't come out clothes easily. But, back then I did use O2 sims for the rears before I got it tuned.
I agree, especially if your state has inspections. I have the long tubes and y pipe with no cats on my 03, and the smell does get annoying. Get the cats.

I guess I'll look into custom exhaust parts with high flow converters, thanks for the input!

Billet aluminum dual zone blend door install, just fyi I had a heater treater installed about 10 years ago is why the plenum is cut up. To install the billet the plenum had to be opened up you couldn't slide the doors in like the heater treater.

I'm about to have to hack my daughter's 2014 Camaro up to do the same. Craptastic design by GM. If you run MAX A/C the actuator will apply constant pressure to the door to keep it closed tight and eventually the plastic snaps.

Here in Texas, you can't survive without MAX.

Yeah and the bonus for me is when I went to buy the original doors one of the two was discontinued....thanks GM

https://www.blenddoorusa.com/ is where I got these billet ones, it's not on the website but I messaged them and found out they made them for my model.

Had my mechanic install the blend doors and had it detailed, I got plenty of heat now! I also have my dual zone as well!
Things of note he said that the older plenum/clamshell was screwed together this one they welded the plastic together. The other noteworthy thing is the top blend door I bought was a little bit to big and he had to file some of it so it would not hang.

I replaced the front brake hoses on my 06 suburban daily driver. One of the hoses had a fray. It was on the sheathing and I'm sure it would be okay, but I had ordered new replacements last year.

I also went ahead and flushed out all the old brake fluid and did the purge.

I had bought the Motive bleeder little pump, but I couldn't make any fluid out of the caliper bleeder screw. So I had my son pump the brakes and that worked.

Just went for a drive and truck stops pretty good.

I also removed the rear jounce bump stop since it's all rotted away. The other side is missing :-( Will order new ones.
