Te only way that clip can come off is if the pin in the spider gears is removed. Maybe they didn't tighten that nut that holds the pin in?Junk yard rear end I put in started making noise on when off the gas. Sounded like a train. Turns out the c clip on the right axle somehow came off and sheared the end of where the clip holds it in place. The only thing holding my axle in was the caliper. Time to do a rebuild. It’s the gamble you take when you used boneyard stuff.

Got a 'service battery charging system' warning at lunch, voltage gauge was low. Luckily I have dual batteries because the alternator just up and died with no real warning. Replaced it after work, and all is well again and the 6.2 feels even peppier (is that even a word? Haha).
