What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I finally finished installing the rest of the heated seat kit (19158411 $100 off eBay). Wow. Started at 8PM and left the hangar at about 0030. Installed my new butt cushion too. Unfortunately I didn’t read the instructions all the way thru which at the end specifically note: “Program heated seat module and driver/passenger door switches (SUV ONLY) with the latest calibration in the Service Programming System”
Dang-it... left my laptop and Tech2 at home. No internet here anyways so I’ll be doing the software update in the morning. I’m sooooo glad I took this photo as it has the specific part number of the module (I logged into TDS and saw that there are like 20 modules...).

Well, I finally got it all back together.... BUT..... It's ticking, which I gather from the forum means it's leaking. I am not surprised. I stripped the first few threads of the driver side forward most hole. And that's not the leak. They simply will not snug up to the block. BUT THEY LOOK GREAT!!! LOL. I'm going to take it to a shop now that I can drive it...
How / who would be able to fix the stripped threads?
Should I take it to an exhaust / muffler shop, or to a engine / repair shop? Take it to a mechanic, not an exhaust shop. All they know how to do is weld. Did you torque the bolts to spec? What gaskets did you use? Usually even with a stripped/broken bolt you can get them to seal.

Mine was making a clunking noise also. Turned out to be the lower ball joint.

lube the sway bar bushings

Got up early today and washed the long body, wiped her down with Lucas Oil Slick Mist, APC and stiff brushed the floor mats, vacuumed and interior wipe down.

Put the front on jack stands to see if I could see or feel anything to do with the clunk. Everything looks and feels tight. And of course the wife has to head out, so off the stands she goes.

Here are some pics for those of you with more experienced eyes.

how to grease the sway bar bushings as OEM do not have a zerk fitting?

Will be able to look over more later or tomorrow morning again. Thx guys.

The Sway bar D bushings (one on each side, mounted to the frame), while you have both wheels off the ground, you can take off the brackets and the rubber bushings are slotted so you can either just slide them over and put grease on the bar or open them up and put grease inside where the bushing sits, if you are getting strange noises like you mentioned then greasing the bushings can resolve the problem

while you are at it you can do the rear ones also but the wheels do not need to be off the ground, reason being the front is under pressure with the wheels on the ground the rear is not.

Thought might be the case of what you mentioned previously for greasing them. Will have to attack later once wife returns.

I have a similar issue. Mine you didn’t really hear it but felt it through the floorboard. It turned out to be a bad upper control arm bushing. For awhile I tired spraying lithium grease into it to see if that would get it to stop. It was weird cause at times it wouldn’t act up until last part of the drive and other days it was right off the bat feeling it the whole drive till you get on the interstate. Lately I have noticed the condition is gone knock on wood. Don’t know if the grease finally penetrated enough or not.
