Bought new engine air and cabin air filters today. Which I’ll install once the sun gets low in the west. They’re not very old, but it’s been a steady diet of smoke, dirt, and dust this summer. And more than a little dog hair.

The transmission relearn procedure will start. It will try to adjust pressures and shift points based on how you drive…

it relearns the shift patterns
Thanks, didn't want to mess something up if I did. I have a BBP tune but and have a couple hundred miles on it now. I feel the 1-2 shift is still too early. I want to take another log and have them double check the 89 octane tune and maybe try to move that 1-2 shift up a little but I have a full tank of E85 right now. The early shift happens when I am making a turn from a stop and then want to accelerate. It shifts right when I am straightening out and want to accelerate. I wish it stayed in 1st until after so I could run it out further. I thought about asking for them to look at the shifting without a log file but I think its best to send a log with the early shift captured so they can make all the adjustments at the same time.
Edit: My early shift is at part throttle.

Ordered and was charged on 6/6.
Just got this email from summit that they are expecting another month to ship...
I don't know what the hell is going on with Mickey Thompson and these particular tires and size, but apparently they're really hard to come by right now.
So instead of getting a decent deal through summit, where I know at least they would be brand new, I need them sooner rather than later at this point.

So of all places, ended up on Amazon and found four of them in Canada that will be here by the 7th at the latest supposedly.
Once those actually get to my door I'm just going to cancel the summit order and get my refund.
If I were to order the same thing through summit again, the projected date is the end of December now.
I need these things on for desert season and just rainy season also, feels like I've been plenty patient.

Also wouldn't be surprised if my tires were stuck on one of those damn container ships that are all out of the Port of Long Beach waiting to get offloaded.
Hope I don't end up with two sets.

Was there a particular reason you were going with these Mickey Thompson MT's versus one of the other major brand MT's?

I've had the ATZ P3 for 50k mi, very happy with them.
The Baja boss tires are the newer design/material.
Wanted to try them.
Wanted the Baja boss a/t(new version of what I have) but they don't offer them in a size that I want/will fit.
So I figured I'd go more aggressive and get the m/it's instead.

I really have no reason to run MTs for what I do, the only down side is the road noise these might have.
I went with Micky Thompsons because they were the only ones I really found that was a good hybrid AT/MT. Great on and off road

Go figure, bought tired from a Canadian dealer through amazon.
Tires are drop shipping to me from only 12mi away.

Thanks for the background. I am waiting until my current shoes are worn out before upgrading. I have the 17” rims picked out. Just trying to get as many points of view on tires as possible.

Has anyone had to replace the chrome trim on their hood? Similar to the door handles they are prone to flaking off creating razor sharp edges…and mine is finally getting to that point.
Just curious if anyone’s had luck with a specific company or is it all subjective and basically the same part regardless of who is making it?

Ordering OEM front suspension parts = entirely too complicated!

I’ve never had issues with parts in the past, but for some reason the front suspension must be a well kept “GM secret” so the stealership can attempt to score a sale while overcharging their customers for the same “proprietary” parts sold online.

I ended up calling:
Findlay Auto 1-844-734-8539 (findlayautoparts.com)

The rep I spoke with was friendly - or at least pretended not to hate his job - and was pretty knowledgeable considering the given task.
Findlay were the same guys Ive received random hardware from (eBay/Amazon orders) in the past.

Whether I end up ordering all of the parts from them, or somewhere else I wanted to share their info in case anyone else has any trouble finding the right part number for their specific application. They will either share GM’s secrets, or in my case they built a quote and emailed to me along with a link if I wanted to place the order online.
*This could be helpful to any of our “technically challenged” or “socially handicapped” forum members. Those who either don’t compute the interweb or those like myself who’s wife doesn’t allow them in public without adult supervision, primarily because the hammers I own don’t fix the kind of stupid falling out the mouth of “nick the new guy” down at the local parts store.

After this weekend my give a ₽hu¢k meter was nearly pegged, so thanks to whoever delivered that rainbow to me this morning. Cheers!
