I hope every one had a great Thanksgiving ! I have been away awhile.

Have a shock replacement question: 2007 GMC Yukon SLE 5.3 Flex fuel

I need to replace the original ( 77K miles ) rear shocks. The OEM ones are pictured as are the heavy duty ones.
I never tow anything, but will be towing a 20 foot cargo trailer next summer from Seattle to Ohio and am thinking maybe I want heavy duty shocks vs OEM standard

Everyone's thoughts ? thank you in advanceView attachment 386163View attachment 386163
I would only buy Bilstein shocks, ride much better than OE.

Been driving her real nice this week. Average mpg has come up a half gallon. Lol can't remember exactly when I reset the gallons used, but it was 2-3 years ago I think.
Almost forgot to check my odometer. Always add a quart of oil 2500 after my oil change.
Checked it when I got to work, sure enough exactly a quart low. Dumped in the court I always have ready to go in the back.
Haven't checked my hours in a while but mine's just a wee baby compared to what you guys have. Lol

I just ran the math on that and it would require an average speed of 69.1 mph to cover 344K in 4982 hours. My guess is your hour meter was reset at some point - perhaps when a new engine was installed by a previous owner? Or perhaps accidentally as others have seen? Either way, that's impressive mileage on any vehicle and shows us just how durable these trucks really are. Best vehicles on the road, in my opinion.

Was living it's best life as a test mule on some proving grounds until @RooTBeeRthe1st took possession? Unlikely but you can dream!

I know the dash cluster was replaced, could that do it? This is the original engine for sure, 2nd trans and rear.

I have seen that Hours Meter reset itself before without any prompting from a user and just does it on it's own. It's not uncommon.

OOOORRRRR....Biff drives like an a$$h0le all around PA whilst flipping the bird and yelling profanities.
