Heard a HISSING sound! From passenger side of motor when shutting down after a drive... Lasts about 15 seconds or so

Previously thought it might be A/C pressure bleeding down, but it definately sounds like it's coming from the top of motor.
I think this maybe the coolant smell/leak? I've been chasing.

I'm thinking it could be the rear steam port or external headgasket leak on top, but under intake manifold.
Anything else it could be?

Bruh. I had a thought when I first woke this morning (or maybe last night or maybe even in a dream) about them block-offs at the back of each head. The gaskets rarely fail, but it's not impossible. I was gonna reply to one of your posts this morning, but didn't have time to get on the forum.

I will remove intake in a few days to have a look see... What else should I do while I'm in there?

With IM removed? Maybe oil pressure sensor replacement if it's old. Clean and inspect the VLOM for oil leaking (COVER THE INTAKE PORTS FIRST!). Maybe replace the VLOM gasket or, at least, re-torque the bolts.

Right on, thanks! I'm REALLY hoping it's the steam ports and not the HG!

Oil sender, check. Mine reads 2lbs high, not the end of the world but I'm guessing it's original..
intake ports, check. I will tape over them

I've seen @doubelieve recommend the felpro metal gaskets..

Battery died on Deathscalde in the driveway this morning. Pulled it out and that jank was from 2018  Glad it happened now and in the driveway rather than last month's trip to Colorado or this week's quick trip to Ohio so I'm thankful overall. ....And impressed that other battery lasted 5 years!! LOL

Finally performed the ALC reset on the load leveling suspension in the Yukon.

I replaced the rears with the Arnott last year and finally the front with OE Z55 BDI cartridges. I should have reset the ALC with the new rear shocks.

The ride is good, but have had this slight "washboard" sensation which has been just mild enough to not worry about it too much, but at the same time, enough of it to make you wonder what's going on.

I could tell it was mainly in the rear so I filled the tank, went to a nearby parking garage and performed the reset.

It went through a small series of releasing air....lol, no pump activation then it was finished.

It never looked like it was lifted in the rear, but obviously there was enough air in the system to make a difference.

Ride is noticeably smoother with less "jarring" or "sharp bumps".

Sorry for the bad pic, lots of lights in background. This is the current stance....I can tell it's down about an inch from before, maybe a ittle less.

huh. I tried running it on mine and it really didn't seem to do anything. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I didn't fill the tank. I wonder if it knows and doesn't run the setup if the tank doesn't read full.

did you do it on level ground, I only ask cause it doesn't look like level ground in that pic?
