1) What are the best carpet mats out there for an XL?

2) And whether I use Husky Weatherbeaters or carpet - what is there for in front of the 3rd seat? I'm not sure I understand the Weatherbeater cargo mats. Does the extended one go under the 3rd row seats and then in front of them? Or only if you have the seats removed?

@moab

Here is the setup I have in my 2013 Suburban. See my build thread here.

I have the GM heavy duty rubber mats which I really like, except the sliver for the 3rd row. I bought the Husky Weatherbeater 3rd row liner, which has cut outs from the factory to go under you bucket seats and sharp nubs to grip the carpet. With 2 kids and 2 dogs it really covers the pass through to the 3rd seat and where people put their feet.s

I realized I need to add a photo with the seats lifted up to show how the liner goes all the way under the seats. I'll update that photo in my build thread. Hope that helps your decision. That was a nice addition to what I already had. Any other questions, just ask.

Here are pics of the 3rd row Husky Weatherbeater liner in the 2013 Suburban as it goes all the way under the 2nd row bucket seats. Cutouts come from the factory. I love the fit with the kids and it catches everything. I lifted the seats today and wiped it down, lowered the seats and was back in business.

Thanks for the pics, this is EXACTLY what I need. The sliver is useless. I'll be getting the Husky as soon as I can myself!

You're welcome. That sliver was an afterthought from the off cuts. Lol. Pretty useless.

The Husky Weatherbeater so far is winning. I'm contemplating the 2nd row Huskys as well because the GM HD mats are great, but don't go far enough under the front seats. The kids can find any bare spot of carpet to land stuff on. :nolol:
